What we’re doing in…Education
Improving access to elementary-level education for children
o Provide school supplies, daily lunch, and salary for 7 educational aides.
o 352 students are now receiving education, an increase of 34% over the last 2 years.
Increasing access to advanced-level education
o Providing scholarship to University student
o Secured one-year volunteer commitment from college graduate
Improving the adult literacy rate
o Adult education for reading, writing, and math
o 66 recent graduates, ranging in age from 16-74
What we’re doing in…Economic Development
Harnessing local resources (agriculture)
o Preparing 15 acres of land for farming and harvesting locally grown commodities, such as hot pepper, pineapple, plantain, and corn among others
Providing opportunities for social entrepreneurs
o Microcredit Lending Program: 41 beneficiaries of loans ranging from $100-$250.
o Cocoa Project: women empowerment group producing cocoa for international distribution
Increasing family self-sufficiency through “Operation Goat”
o Families are provided with 3 pregnant goats to provide essential protein, greater crop yield, and a livelihood.

Organize STD, HIV/AIDS, and Family Planning awareness campaigns
Conducted 2 community-wide health fairs
International Medical team provide trainings and health screenings through mobile clinics
